Distance from Cape Town International Air Port into Cape Town via the N2 highway is approximately 12 km’s and takes about 15 minutes pending on the traffic.

When leaving Cape Town International Air Port we pass Khayalitsha on our left, a township which was designed in 1975 to accommodate 270 000 ‘black’ people, further on our right we pass the oldest ‘black’ township in the Cape, Langa, named after Langalabelele which we visit during our “Walk to Freedom” tour. En route into Cape Town we pass the world-renowned Grootte Schuur Hospital in which the very first heart transplant took place. Coming down Settler’s Way we view the World Heritage Site, Robben Island, to which many a prisoner were sent to as early as 1659.

Whilst entering the ‘Mother’ City we are flanked by Devil’s Peak, Table Mountain Lion’s Head , Signal Hill and the cold waters of the Atlantic Ocean in which lie the historical Robben Island.
