Hermanus & Whales tour:
Spring time on the Cape Coast is Whale time. It is during these few months that the Southern Right Whale migrates from the Antarctic Regions to the rich waters of the Cape. These magnificent mammals come as close as 50 meters from the shore, breaching and lobtailling for all to see. This is truly a spectacular sight to witness. Our lunch stop is in the historical fishing town of Hermanus, from here we visit the Harold Porter Botanical Gardens before cruising home past the apple producing areas of the Cape and down Sir Lowry’s Pass.
We take a scenic drive through the naval town of Gordon’s Bay, feel the spectacular views from Sir Lowrey’s Pass. In Betty’s Bay we visit the Harold Porter Botanical Gardens and then on to Hermanus, for whale watching. Spring time on the Cape coast is Whale time. These magnificent mammals come as close as 50 meters from the shore. Truly a most breath – taking sight.
